for their 12th label anniversary, jazz & milk have decided to launch a new series called �twelve inch jams� in order to celebrate vinyl culture and the legendary 12&#8243,,, format! jams002 sounds the bell for the second round of the series including a 10 years re-issue of the classic sam irl cut �you don�t feel enough�. originally released as a b1 tune on his �african dance ep� debut on pulver records in 2007, this jazzy house gem found its way into the record bags of many influential djs over the years. from session victim, glenn astro, max graef to hodini� the record never disappeared in club sets but certainly from discogs a good while ago. so it was about time to give the tune a second life and finally press it on the format it deserves - a whole 12&#8243,,, side. the german production duo session victim are well-known fans of the track describing it as their secret weapon playing it in quite many dj sets for years, including their 2015 appearance for mixmag�s dj lab. hence, it is a great pleasure that session victim contributed a remix to the new release. their absolutely elegant and groove-driven version with a charming 90�s touch to it makes a brillant counterpart to the original with its jazzy piano-, drum- and double bass samples leading to an epic synth break that regularly causes ecstatic moments on the dancefloor.

bleu nuit (bn) is glad to introduce you to its first release a night on planet earth (bn01) by barcelona-based italian artist flavio folco. known for his musical compositions on his late imprint fresh food (napoli), among others, flavio folco has also made a name for himself as a dj with multiple appearances alongside his friend joseph capriati. whereas a night on planet earth could have seen the light of the day in 2015, when lumièreslanuit (lln) got the demo through a friend, it s finally two years later that the four-tracks ep is finding his place on bleu nuit, and not just any as it is kicking this new project off and paving the way for other break & gangster beats.

originally released in 1991 as a limited run of 100 self distributed cassette tapes. the 5 tracks touch upon ambient, dub, house and balearic styles and show an ambition to create timeless music in the vein of william orbit, ultramarine and the orb. 25 years later these songs finally reach a wider audience....on cassette, again....for now.

house for her is a label founding its birth in the need that she s gone had to express his feelings in his mixes and productions. the time came to him, 1 year ago to give the floor to other people, to let everyone build pieces of music around their lived experience. in this release, the four artists came to cover in mist the wax in a cascade of tablecloths sometimes soft and other times more aggressive, to develop a ep rich in questioning, ranging from dance pieces to other more ambient things, linking them together to tell a story. raär and mp-57, as usual, darkened in the pile, revealing brutal tracks but nevertheless completely full of feelings. devant, with a more colorful touch, has come to appease the ep of a piece of a house deep and sexy, endowed with an atmosphere reminding us much nostalgia. and finally entrave, in a final piece, quietly envelops us to finish to walk in this ep, as in a novel, a kind of sombre happy-end.

la fleur releases her new ep right behind you via her own power plant imprint. the ep includes two tracks, circadian, and the title track right behind you - both showcasing la fleurs in-demand brand of groovy, vocal techno. the ep release marks the end of la fleurs busiest summer on record. a residency at hot since 82s labyrinth parties at pacha in ibiza, touring brazil with the watergate crew and remixing their new single from the mighty sasha have lead to it being a season to remember. the title track, right behind you, features vocals from austrian vocalist/songwriter lula, who is best known for her distinctive work on danny tenaglia club classics like la fleur favourite read my lips. la fleur said: lulas voice is special and distinct. hearing her unique way of vocalising on favourite tracks of mine from back in the day (like tenaglias 98 single read my lips for example), i just felt i had to reach out to her. creating right behind you was a labour of love and we spent months working on it until we finally got to the definitive version.

originally released as a b-side in 2007 on figure�s then-sublabel podium, len faki�s �my black sheep� was one of those rare tracks that unpredictably take on a life of their own. a veritable underground hit, it not only came to define the sound of len faki at that time but for many became equally synonymous with the state of the scene in berlin around that time. now that ten years have passed since then, we felt it was about time to finally treat the sheep to a fresh shave

chico buarque construcao revisited by l_cio is a beautiful debut project part of a doc series of releases combining classic brazilian names with doc artists and producers. l_cio (laercio schwantes) the man with the transverse flute known for some of the freshest and unique tracks coming out from brazil is behind this gemstone. increasingly building a legacy of fans following his live performances and recent releases on doc records (vazio, traffic, people talk, schwantes), this man is a non-stoppable 30 hours machine gun. on this long awaited 2-track limited edition vinyl release, l_cio and gui boratto kept the roots of this classic track construcao. however they added all the proper elements of a techno dance floor knockout. by inserting malicious baselines, flutes and strings they generated aggressive melodies while keeping all characteristics of this epic song. voted as the greatest brazilian song by rolling stones magazine, construcao was originaly recorded by chico buarque in 1971 with production by roberto menescal. released during military dictatorship, chico buarque criticizes the way of life of the brazilian workers, comparing them to machines. the song is known for its interchangeable last words, used as if they were pieces of a board game, as said by buarque. generatiions apart, construcao (l_cio & k_ri version) and construcao (l_cio & borattos deconstructed mix) are the first ever authorized remixes in over 45 years. l_cio the latest dance floor brazilian soldier, a menacing builder of beats completes an epic turnnig point by editing and lapidating a classic poetry. with a b side dub version beutifully crafted by label boss gui boratto, this limited edition pearl is finally here for our joy!

assemble music brings together four more producers at the forefront of today�s fine minimal/house/electro scene. eklo boss seuil kicks things off with jam, a slowly-unfolding confection of metallic percussion and rolling bass set against a meditative, minor backdrop. his fellow half baked resident robin ordell brings a tipsy-sounding vibe to mobsiw, each element swaying its way around the others in an off-key dance. les points� barbir adds detroit hats to a no-shits-given breakbeat and suspends it in time, before finally a 4/4 kick comes to put feet back on the ground. finally, traffic founders martyné and jacob draw on more contemporary breaks and electro influences on electronetto, with that laissez-faire swing with which their label has become synonymous.

dasha is back on sonic groove for her first outing on the label in six years. in this time elapsed dasha has released just two dance singles both some years ago. her last musical outing in 2015, is the stunning masterpiece experimental listening album entitled -sleepstep- on raster noton. now finally after a quite long hiatus from releasing dance music. dasha returns with -ain t no god nor king-, a four song extended play release . this deep minded, beat driven journey starts off with -katusha- a hard minimalistic, mesmerizing affair with strong delay effects on the kick drum forging a subconscious state of time and space as it echoes it way through mountainous canyons far away from civilization. next up is -dystopian drive-, a percussive song which brings an atmosphere of doom and gloom full on, with a gritty & stringent ebm bassline and tripped out layered acidic effects riding the thick bass waves. -black swan- takes it a few steps further into even darker dismal territories, a nearly nine minute journey which is a fitting sound track for surveilling a haunting post nuclear apocalypse scene from up above. -acid melancholy- is a 303 tweaked ambient sound sculpture with a metronomic pendulum rhythmic perc swinging back and forth which signals that time has run its course and the end is near.

very industrial and heavy, certainly no manierism of techno music anymore, but rather transcended into phenomenai of the fearful kosmos , tragic ouranos pankration , all that seems to manifest both wave and particle properties, as apparantly the right block of parian marble had been provided, already containing the very statue itself inside it, for the old, yet merciless tape and tube mastering machines that simply generate xaos , this elusive and inscrutable quantum-engineering process of natura ex machina , and that, guided by providence herself, chiseled away like old praxiteles the soft flesh of the kouros until the bare shapes, ideai of things finally came discovered and exposed to the human ear and body, simply allowing the sound to fall right into its proper natural space form or, perhaps, like in la divina commedia our sad poet laureate in purgatory did wonder: poi s ascose nel foco che li affina , then hid him in the fire that purifies them .

vinyl only � after four first releases by myself, i invited three of my favorite producers and friends to take part in the first various artist ep of the label called retro future. a1 is provided by stevn.aint.leavn from the beste modus and certain circles camps. i ve been following stefan closely since the release of his big track -precious- and he is now making waves everywhere. for this record he provides -motion- a smashing house track that enlightened every dance floor i dropped it on. then comes alix alvarez, a real underground hero of the new york scene. he s been releasing tunes since more than 15 years, collaborating with mr v and franck roger. alix delivers the tune -no chaser-, a stripped back, deep and driving number that he is known for. the kind of track that made his reputation. on the other side of the record you ll find paolo rocco. he is the man of the moment, fresh from great releases on taverna tracks, rutilance or courtesy of balance to name a few. here we have -7284-, it has been a true favorite of mine over the last months. finally i round up the ep with -belle maison- a new jam i recorded a few months ago featuring an engaging french speech, mpc beats and fb-01 synths. welcome to retro future chapter one.

favorite recordings presents this new official album reissue of sunshine by junior byron: a real modern-soul/disco masterpiece, originally released in 1981 by canadian label formula records, and very hard to find today.
based in canada, junior byron had quite a short career as a singer and recorded only a few singles and this stunning album between 1981 and 1985. produced by andré perry and joe la greca, two famous names in the canadian music scene, sunshine is not just a one track album, but a complete whole piece of music, including some brilliants highlights such as �inch by inch�, �galaxy� or �sunshine�, which are today must-haves in many dj�s lists.
as another longtime favorite collectable piece for charles maurice, it�s a real honor and proud for favorite recordings, to finally officially reissue it for the first time on vinyl. in order to insure the best sound quality, the original tracklist has been dispatched on a double vinyl version, which should please all djs and music collectors.

moscow rolls through with a collaboration from founder archie hamilton and musical genius benson herbert, from kerri chandler�s protege duo, voyeur. two original tracks, remixed by the legendary 100hz. the record opens with the wonderfully trippy systim. a driving bassline, barely recognisable vocal snippets and groovy organic percussive elements dance around a haunting piano riff that ebbs and flows throughout the track. tension builds until a second acid bassline is finally revealed, causing dance floor madness. next up herbavibe combines a big bassline, dreamy chords, hamilton�s trademark 303 and a catchy vocal hook to create a certified summer anthem. 100hz uses the entire b side to interpret system into a more classical workout, using the piano elements to their full potential and using minimalistic percussion to keep the listener enthralled. an after party gem that completes the package perfectly

...and in the end, not a great deal is known about the spanish duo futuro. the saga begins with the discovery of a cache of test pressings deep within the shelves of a very dusty record shop near the plaza del toros de valencia. as is the case with these things there was no promo sheet or any other information outside of three clues etched into the run-out groove: futuro, jollyman, mcmlxxxvii. through deduction and reasoning it was soon realised that jollyman was a short lived italian record label that closed it s doors in 1987. there were rumours for a while that jollyman was a mafia wedding gift to a music enthused female family member, but as the journey continued it became slightly more likely that this was a tax write-off for it s owners, as the label itself was never very successful, and was more likely an afterthought rather than a full on passion project. that is not to say that there were not gems hidden within it s small catalogue, most notably from noted library musician, composer and arranger alessandro signoretti, without whose help this release would not be presently in front of you. alessandro s assistance led us to the infamous hafenklang studio in hamburg, germany. the very same studio used by boytronic to record their classic lp the continental (some of the same dx presets can easily be heard on both albums) and despite the insane amounts of musicians that have passed through those doors the owner clearly remembered the duo and finally the mysterious futuro had names: javier c rayón and raúl láynez.

too late for the italo boom, and too early for the sonido de valencia craze, the recordings of futuro have sat on master tapes since 1987 finally awaiting their much deserved audience. bordello a parigi are more than proud to present this lost late slow-mo synthesizer italo masterpiece onto the world.
